Barking Mad Betting

Privacy policy

Version privacy-v1. Last updated 6 November 2026.

This policy covers every Barking Mad Betting service: the Barking Mad Predictor, the Barking Mad Merch shop and Fresh Legs: the BMB presenter search. Each service has its own section below. We only use what you give a service for that service.

1. About us

All three services are run by Barking Mad Betting Limited, registered in England and Wales, company number 17296386, registered office 5 Margaret Road, Romford, Essex, RM2 5SH. We are the data controller for the information described here.

One contact for every privacy question or request: privacy@barkingmadbetting.com, or by post to Data Protection, Barking Mad Betting Limited, 5 Margaret Road, Romford, Essex, RM2 5SH.

We are a racing and sports content brand. We are not a bookmaker and we don't take bets.

2. Fresh Legs (presenter search)

What we collect

  • your name, email address and mobile number
  • your town or rough area (not your address)
  • the link to your video. We store the link, not the video. Your video stays wherever you host it.
  • anything you tell us about your darts and presenting experience, your social handles and your availability
  • how you heard about us, and the tracking tags in the link you used to reach us (for example utm_source), so we know which posts worked
  • your confirmations and consents (25 or over and in the UK, terms, privacy, original material, link tested, marketing), each with the date and time, and the version of the terms and policy you saw

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

  • To run the presenter search: reviewing your entry, contacting you with a successful or unsuccessful update, and talking to you about work if you're successful. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interests in recruiting presenters. We use your details for nothing else.
  • To send Barking Mad Betting news, content and offers by email, only if you ticked that box. Our lawful basis is your consent. It is separate from your entry and you can unsubscribe at any time.

Fresh Legs details are never added to Predictor or shop lists or advertising audiences. The only exception is if you ticked the marketing box, in which case you join our email list for BMB news and offers.

Who sees it

Only the BMB team. Darts entry videos aren't published anywhere unless we ask you first.

How long we keep it

WhatHow long
Entries that are unsuccessful, withdrawn or not reviewed6 months after entries close, then your personal details are deleted automatically. We keep only anonymous counts.
Successful entriesWhile we're working together, then as needed for our business records
Marketing consentWhile you're subscribed, then a record of your consent for 2 years so we can show we had your permission

You can ask us to delete your entry sooner at any time.

3. Barking Mad Predictor

The free prediction game at barkingmadpredictor.com. In short:

  • What we collect: your display name, email address and password (which we never see), your 18+ confirmation, your marketing choice, your picks and scores, and technical information about your visit. Waiting list sign-ups give just an email address.
  • Why: to run the game and its leaderboards, secure your account, contact prize winners, and send marketing emails only if you opted in.
  • Lawful basis: performing our agreement with you to run the game; consent for marketing, analytics and advertising.
  • How long: account details while your account is open, then deleted within 30 days of closing it; prize winner records for 6 years for tax purposes.

The full Predictor policy, including analytics and advertising cookies, is at barkingmadpredictor.com/privacy.

4. Barking Mad Merch shop

  • What we collect: your name, email address, phone number and delivery address, your 18+ confirmation, what you ordered and the payment status. We never see your card details.
  • Why: to make, post and support your order, including delays, cancellations and refunds; and to email you about new merch and news only if you ticked the box.
  • Lawful basis: performing our contract with you; legal obligation for tax records; consent for marketing.
  • How long: order records for 6 years after the end of the tax year they relate to, as the law requires.
  • Shared with: our payment provider Revolut, our garment maker (to post your order) and its delivery company.

5. Who we share data with

6. Cookies

  • Fresh Legs sets no cookies and uses no analytics or advertising. Cloudflare Turnstile, our spam check, may store a small security token in your browser. That is strictly necessary to protect the form, so we don't ask about it.
  • The shop uses no advertising or analytics cookies. Your basket is kept in your browser so it's still there when you come back.
  • The Predictor keeps you logged in and saves unsaved picks in your browser. Analytics (PostHog) and advertising (Meta Pixel) run only if you accept them in its cookie banner, and you can change your mind there at any time.

You can ask us to:

  • give you a copy of your data (access)
  • correct it
  • delete it (erasure)
  • stop using it, or object to how we use it, including anything based on our legitimate interests
  • withdraw any consent you gave, for example to marketing emails. This doesn't affect anything we did before you withdrew it.

Email privacy@barkingmadbetting.com. We'll reply within one month.

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.

8. Changes

If we change this policy we'll update the date and version at the top. If a change affects how we use data you've already given us, we'll tell you first.
